The Birthday Boy

Marc started out his 35th birthday with his dad buying doughnuts, including his favorite, buttermilk bars.

Followed by opening gifts from the girls & his parents.  My 'gift' to him was a shopping spree later on in the day.

Please note the girls' t-shirt.  Grandma bought them for the girls & they say 'Dad's Sweet Heart'.  The perfect shirt to wear on Daddy's special day!

For lunch, we went to Sweet Tomatoes & then Grandma & Grandpa took the girls home, so that Marc & I could go shopping for a couple of hours.  Marc made out pretty good & got 4 shirts & a couple of pair of shorts.  We had a great time together & it was nice to get some alone time together.

When we got home, it was time for some yummy birthday cake!  Connie, once again, made a delicious cake!  Funfetti cake with funfetti frosting!  Marc's request.  And the girls helped Grandma frost & decorate it.  Side note.  Marc was able to blow out the 35 candles all at once.  As in, just one big blow.  Impressive.  Or he's just full of hot air.  Ha!

That night Marc wanted to go to the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey game.  So a group of us went & enjoyed a fun game.  Followed by late dinner at Metro Pizza & some gambling at one of the casinos.  I didn't make it to the casino, but am proud that I lasted until about 11:00 pm.  Go me!

All & all, I think Marc had a great birthday!

I just asked him, 'did you have a good birthday, babe?'

And he looked over at me with a confused look & shoot his head yes.

Like why are you asking me this?!  Ha!
