Me Llamo Maria

Funny story I just have to share...

Last night we took our babysitter out to dinner (a late Christmas present) to our favorite Mexican restaurant.  We go there quite often (it's our go to restaurant, cheap & close by) so we know the hostess quite well.  She is a super nice girl, loves the girls & is always friendly to us when we go there.  As we were leaving I asked the girls if they thought we would see our favorite girl there.  And here is how the conversation went with Kennedy.

Me: Girls, do you think we will see our favorite girl there tonight?

K: I think so.

Me: We've never learned her name.  Maybe when we go there tonight we should introduce ourselves & find out what her name is.

K: I think her name is Maria.  A lot of people like her are named Maria. We were watching a movie in Spanish class & a lot of their names were Maria.  So I think her name is Maria.

Me: Kennedy, not all people of her ethnicity are named Maria.  I'm sure there are a lot of women named Maria, but not every person has that name.

Fast forward to when we get to the restaurant, and see our favorite hostess....

Me: Hi!  It's great to see you!  I was just asking the girls if they thought we'd see you!

Hostess: It's great to see you guys again!  

Me: I was just telling my daughters that we have never learned your name, even though we see you all the time.

Hostess: Oh, that's right!  My name is Maria!  What is your name?

Oh.My.Goodness!!!!

I could not stop laughing!!!

Kennedy was right!  They are all named Maria!!!

So funny!

Fast forward a bit & Ashby started goofing around & decided to try on Nanny's glasses.

Doesn't she look adorable?!

Marc & I both got glasses around the age of 3-4, so the chance of either of our girls needing glasses is quite great.  While we hope that neither of them will ever need glasses, Ashby sure would look cute if she ever needs to get a pair for herself!
