Yesterday, for the first time, we took Kennedy school supply shopping. How is she old enough to be going to school full-time? 5 days a week, 7 hours a day. That's like BIG kid school. And now, in a couple of weeks, she's one of them!
And not to feel left out, we got Ashby her own little Minnie Mouse water bottle. She is starting pre-school in a few weeks. How is that even possible?! It's all very bittersweet for me. My babies are growing up right before my eyes!!!
And today, for the very first time, my baby girl went on a trip all by herself! No Daddy, no Mama, and certainly no baby sister.
This big girl went to go visit her Auntie Rae Rae, Uncle Brian & baby Greyson in Portland for two whole days, all by herself! To say she was excited is an understatement!
And according to Auntie Rae Rae's texts & phone calls, they are having a blast together going to Red Robin, having some fun dance parties, eating delicious ice cream & having some serious play time with Greyson!
Oh, and apparently telling Auntie Rae Rae upon arrival at her house that her bathroom floor was 'disgusting & that she must have forgotten to vacuum it before she came.' OMG, I about died of humiliation when my sister told me what Kennedy said! Of course we both know that Kennedy meant no harm in her comment, was not saying it maliciously, and Rachael laughed at the comment & did not take it seriously, but when my sweet daughter comes home we need to have a chat with her about when certain things should be said & when thoughts should be kept safely up in thy head.
Seriously, what am I going to do with her?! I've always said that she is a twenty-year old trapped in a 5- year old body. And today's comment just confirmed it...for like the billionth time.
And while I know she is having an awesome time at Auntie Rae Rae's house, I miss her like crazy & am counting down the days hours minutes until she comes home!!!
