Marc travels a lot for work. At least two weeks out of the month he is out of town on business. It is not fun, but the girls & I have gotten used to it. While he is away, we create our own little memories & make the most of our girl time together. The girls miss their daddy but usually do alright knowing he will be home in 'x' number of days.
But not this time around. Since leaving on Tuesday the girls, multiple times a day, have said they miss their daddy & want him to come home. And a couple of these times, there have been tears along with their plea for daddy.
Side note, Marc said as he was putting Kennedy to bed on Monday night she started crying saying she didn't want him to leave. So sad.
I'm not sure if it was because he did not travel much the last couple of months of 2011, or because he had off for a week at Christmas time. Whatever the case may be, the girls really miss their daddy this time around.
This morning, the girls asked me to take a picture of them so they could text it to Daddy to tell them how much they missed him.
And after lunch, we made Daddy a welcome home sign to be hung on the door of the garage, so he can see it first thing when he comes home tonight. And the girls each made a picture of what they like to do with Daddy. Ashby's says 'me & daddy playing chalk' and Kennedy's says 'me & daddy watching football'.
They sure are ready for their Daddy to come home. And so is Mommy! We've got a fun weekend ahead of us, and we are so happy that Daddy will be home to be a part of it!
Welcome Home, Daddy!!!
We Missed You!!!

They look soooooooo much like him in that first pic! So sweet :)
ReplyDeleteThe picture of them in their little matching sweatsuits made me gasp from cuteness! Love it :-) Hope you all have a great weekend!
