Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve!  We went crrraaazzzy over here!  Some TV, ice cream, and in bed by 10:00 pm!  Ha!  I actually have been under the weather the past couple of days, so I stayed home with the girls while Marc went to a friend's house for a bit.  But even he was home by 11:30 pm.  We're getting old!

We started 2012 with some deep cleaning.  A little dusting, vacuuming including behind the refrigerator & stove, as well as all of the ceiling fans & lights.  It feels so good to have a clean house to start the new year!  Tomorrow I'm going to tackle the bathrooms.

The girls were super cooperative this morning as Marc & cleaned, so we promised to take them to the park before lunch.  We had very nice weather today, so we wanted to be sure the girls got some fresh air today.  And they did!  The warmer temperatures & sun felt great!

During the girls' rest time, Marc worked out & I got a little more house cleaning done.  And then it was back outside where we headed to another park in the neighborhood.  It was a bit cooler this afternoon, but still wonderful to be able to get outdoors.  Days like this are few & far between here in WA during the winter months.

The girls were cold after the park, so we headed back home & cuddled under blankets.  Daddy & the girls then watched a show on On Demand.  Daddy was really into the show being played.  Ha!

Marc made turkey burgers on the George Foreman.  Yum!  The girls played & then it was time for bath time.  After Kennedy went to bed, Marc & Ashby played a little Wii.

And Ashby wanted to show everyone her new princess pajamas that Grandpa & Grandma got her for Christmas.

While they were playing, I snuck out to Cold Stone to grab Marc & me some ice cream.  We needed a little 'help' to get us through budgeting tonight.  Cold Stone really does make everything better!

And now I sit here, about to start working on 2012 goals.  There is nothing like the new year to make improvements in my life, my health & myself.  A clean slate.  A fresh start.  A new beginning.
