Thankful

We just returned home from a wonderful Thanksgiving with my parents.  It was 3 days full of relaxation, food, laughter, & fun.  The girls had so much fun with their Papa & Grammy.  They were spoiled rotten (as always) & they did not want to leave.  Grammy almost convinced Kennedy to not come home & stay in Roseburg with them.  Upon hearing this, I almost started to cry & convinced my little girl otherwise.

Here are the many things I am thankful for from our trip home:

* Papa--my dad is so good with the girls.  He takes them on walks & to the park, plays chase with them & even lets them play with his new iPad!  He is so patient with the girls & I adore seeing his love for the girls.

* Grammy--my mom spoils my girls rotten!  Right when we go there, she had all sorts of fun treats for the girls: reindeer antlers, an Advent calendar, bell necklace & an Alvin & the Chipmunks DVD.  Not to mention, she had all of these fun activities planned to do with the girls.  She bought supplies to make candy turkeys, & made Christmas cookies so the girls could frost them.  She also loves to cuddle up on the couch with the girls & read books.  And let's not forget the AWESOME Thanksgiving meal that she made for us!  Turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade dinner rolls, two kinds of stuffing, corn, green beans, jello & Pumpkin pie!  OMG, it was delicious!  Kennedy & Ashby both said that their favorite part of the trip was Thanksgiving dinner, with turkey being Kennedy's favorite & jello being Ashby's favorite.

* Fabulous Weather--minus the rain that we had all the way down to my parent's house, the weather was awesome while we were there!  Sunny skies, little rain & decent temperatures.  We couldn't have asked for better weather!

* The Neighborhood Park--if you've read my blog for any length of time, you know my girls like to play at the park.  Well, my parents have an awesome park near their house.  Of the 3 days we were there, the girls were at the park 2 of those days.  There was so much fun things to do at this park & the girls had a blast!

* Daddy--Marc is always good with the girls, but this trip I felt like he went above & beyond the call of 'daddy' duty.  He did bath time all by himself every night (per the girls request), played with the girls non stop, ran errands with my dad, as well as helped my parents set up their new iPad.  I love that he loves my parents & enjoys visiting them as much as I do.

* The Girls--they were so well behaved this trip (minus the early wake ups from Ashby, thus waking up her big sister & parents).  They were good listeners, used their manners, respected Grammy & Papa's house, & were awesome travelers.  We couldn't have asked for a better trip with them.  Just give them a little food, drink & an iPad and they were good to go! :)

* Auntie Rae Rae--my sister was nice enough to meet us at Red Robin on the way home so we could get some auntie, sister & sister-in-law time.  We enjoyed a nice lunch (and dessert) with her & the girls loved spending a little time with one of their favorite aunts.  We didn't get to see Greyson today, but we got to see some super cute pictures of him & hear all about the cute things he is doing!  We hope it isn't too long before we see Uncle Brian, Auntie Rae Rae & baby Greyson again!

We had a wonderful trip home to my parent's house!  Thank you, Dad & Mom, for everything you did for us while we were there.  The girls had a great time, as did Marc and I.  The girls are already asking when we get to come back again.  Hopefully much sooner, rather than later.  We love you & are very thankful for you!
