A Groovy, Good Time!

Saturday night Marc & I went to our friend Drew's 40th birthday party.  It was at a bowling alley & we were asked to dress in 70's attire.  If you know Marc & I, we are usually not that creative & don't come up with cool costumes.  But not this night!  As you can see, we went all out for the big birthday celebration!

A lot of our other friends dressed up, too, but I think Marc was the hit of the party.  Nobody recognized him at first & everyone kept making comments about his costume throughout the night.  He looked like a true rocker with his crazy mohawk & chains!

The birthday boy & his wife, Megan.

Amanda, Megan, Tammy & myself.

Amanda & her husband, Doug, with Marc & me.

We had such a good time!  It was fun getting out & having fun with friends.  Marc did really well bowling too.  One of the games he scored 210!  Many of you don't know this little fact about Marc, but he used to be in a bowling league when he was younger.  He even had his own bowling shoes & bowling ball.  He still doesn't have them now but he was in 'bowling league' focus on Saturday night and got 6 strikes in a row.  Maybe he should think about joining another bowling league!

Do you think the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) would let him join??!! :)

Happy 40th, Drew!  We hope you have a wonderful birthday!  Thanks for such a fun party!

  1. OMG-that picture is HYSTERICAL! I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. And, J, way to rock the midriff, girlfriend :-) You are still a hot mama after kids...you know 30s are the new 20s (ha ha ha).

  2. Sweetie, the peace sign is so 60's!! Do love the outfits though. You should get a picture of Marc in his Thundar the Barbarian Halloween costume from Connie; it will explain a lot. Looks like you had a great time.

P.S. He comes from a long line of bowlers; not much else to do in the middle of the winter where our family comes from .
