It's time for another installment of Creative Kids! You can see my first post here.
My mom follows this blog (hi mom!) and read how I am trying to do more creative things with the girls. She found these craft kits at the Dollar Tree & thought the girls & I would enjoy doing them together. And oh my goodness, was she right! The girls & I had so much fun making these yesterday! They were so easy to put together & turned out super cute. If you have a Dollar Tree near you, I urge you to go there, like right now, & pick some up!
The inside of the front cover had step by step instructions for each magnet. Simple instructions that made creating each of these magnets a piece of cake.
The package included a bunch of different foam squares, each with different patterns, shapes, animals, flowers, etc. to punch out. The nice thing was that it was super easy for the girls to punch them out, so that gave them something to do as I glued different pieces on each magnet.
Ashby wanted to start by making the chick sitting on the egg.
Next, Kennedy wanted to work on the Easter bunny inside the basket. Unfortunately, she didn't want to have her picture taken so I had to settle for her work of art in front of her face. Gotta love 4 year olds!
And then the girls worked on the final one, the big Easter egg, together.
All three side by side (by side). So adorable!
My mom had sent two packages & I noticed the second package was a foam frame craft kit. I was excited to get started on this one next but I think the girls had enough. They were getting tired & it was almost time for bath, so they opted for a cute picture together instead.
I bet you can't guess what mama did after the girls went to bed. Yep, I worked on the foam frames myself. I told you I loved this little craft project!
Just like the foam magnets, there were foam squares with things to punch out & simple step by step instructions for each frame. And magnets were included as well. 15 minutes later & I had created three super cute frame magnets.
All six of them together.
Aren't they adorable??!! I cannot get over how easy they were to make & how cute they turned out. And cheap too! From the Dollar Tree, remember??!! Easy, cheap & cute. Three words I love using together in reference to crafts!
Now, what are you waiting for??!! Get on over to your local Dollar Tree (or any dollar store!) & pick up these adorable craft kits to make with your little chicks.
And PLEASE send me some pictures when you are done making yours. I'd love to see how cute yours turned out too! :)

Love these, what a great idea. Can't wait to try them with the kids!
ReplyDeleteI was so pumped because I just happened to read this post right before I had plans to run to Dollar Tree. Unfortunately, ours didn't have them. Boo. :( What an adorable activity to do with your girlies!
